Decades ago while still in high school, I penned, for my hometown newspaper, a weekly entertainment column, “The Paths of the Stars.” Although the title sounded more like compositions regarding astrology or spirituality (perhaps, a precursor to my psychic discovery later in life!), the column gave me an opportunity to chime in on a passion of mine: movies.
While I haven’t reviewed films for many years, I still have a fondness for cinema (and buttered popcorn). Last week, I saw an uplifting and entertaining movie and knew there was a blog post in the works! Make plans now; see “The Peanut Butter Falcon.”
Without giving too much away, the movie illustrates that, yes, our disabilities may create some limitations, but they also create other strengths. Watching this movie about a grown man with Down Syndrome explore a Huck Finn-like life adventure (there’s even a raft!) with an unlikely travel bud, reinforced my own life vision. See it. Believe it. Be it!
With its blended message of hope and humanity, “The Peanut Butter Falcon” reminds each of us that the untapped super-hero within our soul deserves the opportunity to soar.
Love and light,
Tony
Where did you see this? Netflix??
in the theatres!
Thank you again for giving this gift to our son. You’re beyond thoughtful. I can’t wait to see it now, since Clark said it’s his new favorite movie!
He’s a special kid who will do so much good for so many. And, you will love the movie too!
