“Have you been half asleep?
And have you heard voices?
I’ve heard them calling my name.”
Who knew that lyrics of “The Rainbow Connection,” from 79’s The Muppet Movie (sung by a frog, no less!), would register so strongly with me 35 plus years later? You see, I typically receive psychic medium insights from spiritual sources who “want to talk” during my meditations or when I awaken in the middle of the night.
But, it’s just not that singular verse that relates to my career and positive mindset, but, rather, the entire tune! Word by word, “The Rainbow Connection” captures the importance of dreams, aspirations and the magic of the Universe. But, we have to do our part; we have to believe. I watched the film again – for the first time in decades – last week and was moved by how the lyrics to its opening theme grabbed me. Check out the song to find your personal connection:
Why are there so many songs about rainbows
And what’s on the other side
Rainbows are visions
But only illusions
And rainbows have nothing to hide
So we’ve been told
And some choose to believe it
I know they’re wrong, wait and see
Some day we’ll find it
The rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers, and me
Who said that every wish
Would be heard and answered
When wished on the morning star
Somebody thought of that
And someone believed it
And look what it’s done so far
What’s so amazing
That keeps us stargazing
And what do we think we might see
Some day we’ll find it
The rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers, and me
All of us under its spell, we know that it’s probably magic
Have you been half asleep?
And have you heard voices?
I’ve heard them calling my name;
Is this the sweet sound
That called the young sailors?
The voice might be one and the same
I’ve heard it too many times to ignore it
It’s something that I’m supposed to be
Some day we’ll find it
The rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers, and me
La da da di da da dum da duh da da dum di da dum*
Rainbows are indeed inspiring symbols. Last weekend, I visited the scenic Santa Ynez Mountains, located just north of Santa Barbara. That evening while awake in bed, I received a vision of a sky bathed in a lavender color. Not only was it beautiful, but it had a strong sense of spirituality. The next morning I took several photos of my majestic, natural surroundings. One picture (see below) in particular blew me away, as it revealed a lavender-hued spiritual arc, whose base was less than five feet away. The vision – and feeling – from the night before was validated in a very special way.
Yes, the voices do call my name!
Love and light,
Tony
