I had an out of body experience (OBE) two nights ago, one which brought my soul very close to the divine light. While I’d experienced OBEs many times before, this was the first time that this had happened. It was so meaningful that I felt compelled to share what transpired.
In the wee hours of Tuesday morning, say around 3:30, I was awakened by a jolted charge on the bottom of feet. I’m not exaggerating; the soles felt like they’d been goosed by an electrical current! Needless to say, that got my attention and I opened my eyes to sheer amazement. Looking toward the ceiling, I saw that my room was aglow in a rich, warm, golden light with an outline resembling a compass. I wasn’t afraid or frightened. Instead, I felt blessed and surrounded with love.
“This is so beautiful,” I said aloud in my bedroom.
My eyes then looked to the right of the compass-like design and saw a brilliant white light, acting like a beacon to a sacred portal. Within seconds, I became overwhelmed with joy. So much, that I felt (and saw!) my soul jettison out of my body and go toward this light. My soul was drawn to the light and wanted to be immersed in it.
Just as my soul was about to make contact with the light, another spiritual source stopped its entrance. “It’s not your time to cross over,” the spirit communicated. “You still have much more work to do.” And, with that, my soul understood and happily retreated away from the light.
Many of us have heard stories and accounts of other people who’ve been drawn to or seen “the light,” and then returned to their physical bodies. Doctors have mentioned patients who’ve described the light while undergoing surgeries, for example.
The light is God, the divine source, the higher power and it’s full of healing powers, and, most importantly, an abundance of pure love. My soul experienced all of that up close and personal during my recent OBE.
